NQSBBK really cost effective?

How is the pedal with the NQSBBK?   We used to use Boxster rear calipers (I can't remember the Brembo model/part no.) on Corrado VR6s back in the day (23.1mm MC) and the pedal was terrible.

My pedal is basically exactly the same. Just more bite and better feel to the brakes. My car has the 23mm master cylinder. I believe some later mk5 have a smaller one.

Most likely just some early mk5 had the smaller MC. All mk6 GTI have the bigger one and my MY2008 Ed. 30 has the bigger one.

I had these for years on my old Eddy, great little 4 pot BBK and once twined with a slightly better rear set up they more than handled my 2+ power. For less than £1k fully refurbd with new everthing and inc fitting it's a win win. Yes there are better set ups on the market but not many for sub £1k. If you're not refurbishing them and using your original discs and fitting yourself.....less than £600 I bet.

Actually, the p/ns 986.351.421 & ..422 show as front calipers on Google?

Correct. The NQSBBK are front calipers from a Porsche.


First three are the model number 986=Boxster, 996=911, 955=Cayenne etc etc

351 = Front brakes

421 Left Caliper (odd numbers) & 422 Right Caliper (Even numbers)

Dont buy anything with a 352 in the part number they are rear calipers and the pistons are too small for a Mk5
