Mine's aluminium with the VW logo on the back, but it's hexagonal not round so goes with the honeycomb grille etc. Seems to work very well (IMHO anyway!). Got it off fleabay before I even got the car!

Seen a few Alu or black ones on ebay with 'GTI' etched on the back. Only thing is they have over done the GTI logo cos it's far too big IMO.

Shame richbrook don't do a nice suble Alu 'gti' or Edition 30 one.

Tried Halfords, they had about 5 boxes on the shelves, but people have already opened them and helped themselves and they aren't getting anymore, will try the bay (they have everything else!)

Think that would br pretty cool, I was toying with getting my number plate done with the original dealers name on, but sticking with my pressed one.
It really winds me up though, my mate has a seat Leon FR, and won't take out the Barlows motors sticker from the rear window where he bought it, don't find that cool at all!

....Are tourists called "grockles" by locals in your neck of the woods?

The towns need them for business/income but their clogging up the place is far from popular. Fecking caravanners are the worst.
