Protecting wheels - Wash, decon and seal ?
edd30:
Dan, XJAY,
ceramic/glass coating it is then, I don't have the time to be washing and waxing me wheels every week. I'd rather spend the time on it say once a year doing it properly.
Is the paint work equivalent worth doing ?

It definitely is however its far more delicate than the wheels, needs a perfect surface to bond fully and you need a clean well lit workshop/ garage to apply properly and leave to cure. Also unless you/ someone you know has experience using this sort of product then seek advice as its not like waxing a car.

I'll leave it for the time being in that case. Car needs a front end respray ideally.
I've been using Sonax light cutting compound/swirl remover with a DA machine. I'll stick with AG SRP and Collinite 915 which I've had great results with. Although I'm toying with the using Dodojuice blue velvet or Poorboy's blue paste to bring up the light blue flecks in the interlagos blue instead.

Blue velvet will look great but will only last a few weeks, I think the poorboys leaves a good finish too but again lacks longevity. Unless you don't mind waxing every few weeks I'd stick with 915 and a nice QD like Zaino Z-8 or Bouncers done and dusted. Or if you're willing to try another wax Britemax vantage is a very nice wax to use and will last a few months. Or a Bouncers wax which is more difficult to use (panel at a time and quite firm to remove) but last well and gives a great finish.

Heard very good things about Gtechniq C5, think that's what I will use, just need to work out what size bottle. Although a cheaper alternative is FK1000P which is supposed to last a long time too
