Rear PCV

Cheers Dan, so you used a couple of pieces of pipe and joined them together then... :happy2:
Good idea with the silver heat protective wrap !
Dan_FR:
Yeah i originally bought pipe, ran it to the rear of the gearbox area, experienced smoke/smells etc. Decided i didn't want to buy all new pipe and waste what i had, so bought another metre, two joiners, and extended each one half a metre down in to the tunnel and secured it to the side of the heatshield
To be honest i doubt the heat wrap is needed unless you get the car silly hot and sit there idling in traffic in the summer, but i thought better safe than sorry. It's been fine since the middle of August anyway

I'll do something very much the same, just a matter of getting the bit's gathered up and then put it together...
As you say, it's better to be safe than sorry!

Afraid i can't help with the rear PCV and heatshield, as my original rear PCV is in place, with it blocked off at the front of the cam cover. The gases are also vented out of the front of the cam cover with the hose running across and under my intake pipe. Niki has mentioned that you should be able to get the breather pipe to run under a heatshield, perhaps a slight bend and some gentle persuasion needed?
