Thats correct my bad  :doh: the programming must release the stricter from the lock in order to use the pop up function hence needing vagcom to do this.

I may need the wear sensor but stuck as to what to buy as the Porsche one worn fit the golf will it?.

Just code it out. You dont need a sensor to tell you when your brakes are low
