Water drip from bonnet release
« on: January 03, 2016, 12:03:43 am »
Hi guys just a quick one, this is the first ever problem I've just seen with my mk5 just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and knows the cure for it.

Only noticed it last night when my Mrs went to open the Bonnet I saw a drip.

Is this a common thing, I've had the car nearly 6 years now and it's never had any problems.

Is there a rubber seal near by where the cable passes through that might of been pulled out

I'd check the wiper scuttle panel and even remove it as there's a panel under there that has wiring going through it and maybe the rubber seal has perished.

Sound will have a look there, I thought it might of been where the cable goes through for the bonnet release
