Alarm not working

(1/2) > >>

kam:
Guys the alarm on my mk5 gt tdi stopped working I changed the alarm siren for a second hand unit which the breaker tested but fitted it and still nothing do I need Vag com to activate it or should it just work?
Also could it be something else fuse??-any help would be appreciated thanks

skard:
Did you see him test it? A used one that has been sitting getting no charge is probably dead also.

Yes VCDS will tell you what is up.
Could be a fuse, wiring, faulty door/bonnet/boot module so the car doesn't actually think it is locked

He needs to go into 46-convenience and open measuring blocks, it is there what tells you current status of the sensors and siren

RetroRaz:
Saw this once on a customers car. Turned out to be a fuse,

Check fuse 35, should be 5amp
