Just been quoted £300 to fit springs!
« on: March 21, 2016, 05:33:02 pm »
Am I being unreasonable to think £300 to for 4 springs is a bit OTT, does not include alignment by the way.

That's too much. 200 absolute max, 150 is more realistic.

Rip off. If you're in London give me a shout. My guy can do it for 150.

I'm in the Midlands.
I can do the rear springs myself as I've done them.on a mk4.   Might just do that and get fronts done by mechanic to save some dosh.

Helpful to know what AMD and Dub unit charge.

I'm originally from bham and didn't think it would cost that much. go to one of the bro's   :signLOL: they'll do it for around £80 the fronts.

Far too expensive at £300; unless they are doing a full 4 wheel alignment after which they may justify.

60-80 are ridiculous bargain prices  :stupid:

but fair doos to whoever paid those prices as I'm a mechanic but would pay 80 to have mine fitted of they did the job properly.  :congrats:
