Edition 30 build number in sequence with engine number?

Hi Guys

So I bought an edition 30 last week but waiting for the log book before I can apply for my build number as it didn't come with the car.
I noticed this car posted on a facebook page last week, https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/19767/lot/240/
That car is build number 0001 with an engine number of BYD001008. Now, as my engine number is 001222 could I assume my build number is 214? Who has their build and engine number to hand to see if this works out?  :grin:

My ED30 is 1753 build number with a certificate from VW UK Head Office

Thankfully I am now able to answer my own question. The engine number and build number are not in sequence.
VW have been very helpful to help me obtain my build plaque and called me two days in a row!

The first call was yesterday where she said I need to take my V5 to a VW dealer and register the car on their system in my name.
The second call was today to confirm that no one has requested my plaque and I am number 57! Pretty happy with a low number that that.

I just need to find time to get to VW and set the wheels in motion.

Hi mate how do u find out which build number is your edition 30?

Harry. You need to contact VW Customer Services. They are not the quickest but they will be able to tell you the build number.
