Any tips for fitting the quick shifter?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

There is a good video on this page for fitting it. Mine was 20 minutes to fit but half that was taking apart and re building the Ramair intake.

Id be interested to see what you think of the eBay version 2 intercooler. They look like they have the same measurements as the Darkside one, so like the S3, but with bigger inlet/outlet I believe?

Great build thread, lots of useful info!

I was looking at the dark side Intercooler so already have the creation Motorsport coupler. Reading up I have seen a picture of the two side by side and they look identical and for free I will give it a go.

Oh, snap... mine arrived today after you told me they looked the same (and a bit of independent research)  :happy2:

Mine will stay in the shed until I facelift the front end. Arrived from China in 7 days.

I ordered one of these as the couplers that come with it are not the best. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252078984798?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=550929120986&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Managed to get my lights fitted. Couple of light scratch's on them but will run over them with my machine polisher. Left light has got a dark section on the bottom just under the side light but may replace it later on.

Got a little bit more done on the golf tonight.

After the n/s R32 light had a blackened area it bugged me so managed to find a used one on eBay and it came today.

Pic of black area.

Quickly got it fitted and decided to give the lights a clean and polish.

All done and a lot better. All the scratch marks removed.

Replacement light with no dark area and almost all the deeper scratch marks removed.

Ordered a ED30 front skirt as my GTI one is a bit battered. Just need to decide if I get a ED30 rear or a R32 style with exhaust cutout in oem location.

With the sun out today I managed to get the job I have been trying to do for ages out of the way painting my new disc inner and edge.

Cleaned my wheels while they were off.

Clean enough.

All done and looking a lot better than the rust starting to form.

Not bothered with the calipers as they are all getting replaced  :happy2:
Adjusted my exhaust a little as one of the tailpipes was hitting the bumper
Will try and get my Intercooler on this week hopefully.

ED30 front splitter ordered and R32 rear with oem exhaust position.
