Just a quick question..

When I had the Bilsteins fitted in March, I kept my original suspension. Its been sitting inside the house in a box for the last 10 months.

Will it be ok to go back onto the car, or is it going to need reconditioning? Will it have seized up? Any advice from someone who has done something similar is welcome  :happy2:

It'll be fine! I had the springs and dampers off my old Focus for the best part of two years and they were just sat in a box in the garage. If they can take daily punishment on the road, they'll be fine having been in storage for a while. Bodes well for the next owner too as it means the suspension has done less mileage than the rest of the car - which for OEM dampers, is a good thing!
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

Brilliant, thanks animal! Just needed a conclusive statement like that stating that someone else has done the same as me and had their suspension off for a long period of time!

Good to know because the last thing i would want to do is potentially sell on an unsafe car!  :happy2:

Cheers Scarpius  :embarrassed: Some love it, some hate it! Some days i regret the vinyl, some days i love the vinyl. If i were to do it all again I would definitely go down the more traditional path with the car. The M3 won't be following the same "racing" "chavvy" look as the Golf, it will be done as a show car! Just need to start saving for some 19" BBS LM's now....which I'm not looking forward to!!!!
