I've you've got the funds, go for a Peron. Decent gains over S3/R and ideal for k04.

Standard IC is a bit crap for anything over 300bhp imo. Even the S3/R IC will be a big help.

Although he did get 345 BHP presumably with the standard IC.

Nice motor, and great numbers.  I was wanting to aim for around the 350 BHP mark, but if all I need is a decat (mine has APR induction and Miltek Cat-Back already) and I can get around 340 bhp, I'd be chuffed as a chuffed fellow.

Loving the look of yours though.  Must be a lot of hard graft in making it shine so well.  What products do you use?  My other cars are all greys and black, so kind of bought my polishes to line up more with them.  So interested to hear if there are any recommendations for red cars, or if I should just fire on with what I have.
Yeah you can achieve good figures on the dyno with the standard IC, but it's far from ideal. There's a whole heap of benefits to getting the charge temperature down, as well as achieving better flow. I've just been out in my k03 Stage 2 (270bhp) with standard IC and you can really tell that it's holding back in hotter ambient temps. I will be upgrading to either an S3/mk6 R IC, or a Peron/Airtec, depending whether I stick with the k03 or go k04/k03 hybrid respectively.

As for red... mine's Tornado Red, and I get good results with Autoglym Super Resin Polish (two coats if I can) followed by Autoglym HD Wax. As long as your paintwork is in decent condition it's really quite easy to get a nice glossy finish, and the HD Wax does a good job of protecting that finish for a good few months. Much easier than black, that's for sure! Mine does need a good machine polish at some point, as there's still room for improvement. I'll carry on with the Autoglym polish and wax once this is done.

Thank you again for all your comments!!  :love:

I may well go for an uprated IC at some point but for now i'm happy!

Picked up some Audi S3 brakes the same day i got my map done.

They're from a rather famous S3 (S3 XXY) owned by Wayne Simpson. (Also owns 666rs the merlin purple RS6 and a GT3RS  :notworthy:)
Hopefully get them fitted soon which should stop the brake fade when im having some fun!  :innocent:

Easily done! I considered giving mine a fresh coat but they're not in bad nick at all. They really should be on the car by now but I've got engine gremlins spoiling my budget..!

You might be better using a GTI decal and some red paint!

Before the weekend at SantaPod i was satisfied with the cars performance, but now i want more... :jumping:

I managed a 13.4 but got bored of queuing up so left fairly early!

C's and C's welcome

Here's my ED30.
DSG
Tornado Red
57 Plate
54k
Full VW Service History
Highline

I have plenty of plans, some of which have already happened!

Im a detailing freak so here are some photo's after its first clean/clay/polish/wax....

First Mod was to get some Xenon Style headlights, i opted for the Depo ones from ebay, cant fault them so far! - Oh and my private reg.

I have also got the following since these photo's were taken;
Resprayed the wheels in a fresher more silverly silver (If that makes sense)
Smooth US Spec Front Grill with Shortened Plate - Fitted
RNS510 - Struggling with fitting due to Can-Gateway issues
Custom EMP Ca-tBack Exhaust System - Will be for sale soon as its far to loud!
LED's All round

I plan to do the following;
Induction Kit of some description (Ramair?)
Remap - most likely RTech
and generally enjoy my 70 miles a day!

Let me know what you think  :smiley:
Rob please tell me how you bring such a deep  color of red out? I also have tornado red but I have noticed swirl marks and looks more like a bright red instead of a nice deep red like yours!
