Paper filter vs Panel filter for remap?
SiimpleHarry:
Finally booked in with Nick for a stage 1 next week :jumping:. My research leads me to believe that full intake systems lose torque at the lower end so I've opted to keep the stock air box. I am thinking will a performance panel filter compliment the remap better than a paper filter? I'll probably go for dry filters like pipercross.

I tried to get a cotton panel filter for mine and the supplier recommend i got for something else as its a gti. I like paper cotton filters.
The general opinion is pipercross. Think that's what r-tech recommend also.

I got a few bhp more from a K&N panel filter, and throttle response was improved. :happy2:

Same here - I'm also on the K&N panel filter, does the job in my opinion and compliments the map nicely.
Paradox1:
The stock paper filter doesn't flow that bad at all. the K&N filters do flow a bit more, but you have to remember the more air they let in the more debris gets in too.
Obviously you wont get any sound with the panel filters, but its more about flow and gains that sounds
