I think this is what Danish is talking about

http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=6105&xSec=151

To fit a K04 it would need a slightly different endplate.

yes it's a bit of both, it's the turbo outlet from Neuspeed, but adapted to K04 and SFS but mostly pipe  :happy2:

Not sure I'd really want any extra torque through the DSG clutchpack. I've been trying my best to lower the torque to make it tractable....and I have an LSD!!

Definitely subscribed to the thread though :happy2:

Hurdy what measures have you been taking to reduce torque, as ultimately I'd like less torque and more power myself, fed up of lighting the wheels up from 3k revs, I find I get better traction higher up the rev range?

Altering fuelling, timing and boost settings - but not much reduction in torque unless you drop boost, but if you drop boost you lose power - double edged sword.

Decat, I was told a decat would reduce torque, but speed spool up, in the end I gained torque, but it also brought it in earlier - double fail!

The only real solution would be a pure custom remap, but I've been down that route too and it reduced power :sad1:

Golf R gone.

lower torque...but want power?

get a mismatched laggy as f'cuk turbo then!  :signLOL:

you should then get a plot like this..even though its a GT30 (0.82 housing) on a 2.0 Flat 4

or get a seperate boost controller to make it run lower boost at lower revs / gears...then get the fully monty higher revs / gears.

I'm sure I've read somewhere some cars can be mapped for lower torque in the 1st two gears to help initial traction as thats where the problems are mostly. I think it was a Focus RS.

 :surprised:
ok so the gains look good but you need to overlay the plots for direct comparison.  :happy2:
that dip is baad , def need to get that looked at , def need to do some logging to see if its fuel or other..
I presume they cross at 3400rpm cos its european measurements kW Nm etc (bhp/lbsft cross at 5656rpm)?

Overlay?? on top of eachother??  not sure what you mean?

I plan on doing some logging asap to locate the reason for the dip.   :happy2:

at aleast you know the dip was there before this new part was fitted, its just even more apparent than before.

gains seem good, are they plannning on mass producing it at all, if so @ what cost

I hope to get pictures of the parts sunday, The company that has made it is BNautoteknik.dk, feel free to contact them regarding questions as to price and fitment to different IC solutions.

As i have written earlier, as soon as possible we will fit another one to a similar specced car my friend has, and see both the gains and if he has a similar dip in the HP/torque.
