Cold Air Intake Removal
« on: January 19, 2010, 01:19:43 pm »
I'm thinking of fitting a cold air intake, or similar before having my car Revo'd.
I want to easily be able to change back to the standard air box/filter.  Spannering isn't a problem, I just don't want to get one where things have to be cut and shut.
Any feed back from what you guys have fitted, would be very much appreciated.

....

Are you thinking of wanting a high-flow pipe and cone filter type or a ram scoop using a flat panel filter in the stock airbox (like a Carbonio)?

Was looking at possibley a cat back exhaust, DV & stage 1 map.  Would a Carbonio work alright with that type of setup? or do you think go for the high-flow pipe?
Still wanted to keep it easy to put back to standard as under warranty.

^^^^
I ran a Carbonio with ITG flat panel filter for about 50k miles with Revo1 and Revo2 plus Milltek TBE and forge DV without problems.

Easier to put back to standard with the Carbonio but a high-flow tubular intake will add more bhp.

My Carbonio is for sale if you're interested but you should decide what you want for your car in the longer term perhaps.

Looks like that fits where the original air scoop is behind the grill.  Is that right??
