Matto:
I have planned a day out in London for the Mrs birthday in a couple of weeks. I am just reading up on ways to pay for our travel while we are there. The plan is to park at Cockfosters then tube in. First stop the Bike Shed MC for a wander round then over to Covent Garden for food and then on to The Ambassadors Theatre.

My question is, I have a contactless debit card which I am thinking of using and wondered, is this scanned at the turnstile and how do you do it for two people? Or would it be easier to speak to someone at the station and tell them our plans?

TIA  :happy2:

Paradox1:
You can use your contactless card to get through the barriers at each station. if you misses hasnt got one then I guess you could pass her your car in theory....

Check out the prices for a day pass. may be work out easier

I heard they stopped contactless at train stations but not 100% sure, if they do still accept it then you will need 1 each as I dont think you can tap twice, best best is to both get travel cards, that way you can also jump on the buses if you don't fancy walking.

Its easiest just to buy 2 travel cards at Cockfosters and use those all day. Are you planning to do lots of tube journeys? Does wify not have contactless?
