Pesky jones:
Just get two travel cards.
RetroRaz:
contactless definitely works, I use it every day on underground and overground but you wont be able to tap twice.
If you are doing many journeys, then get a one day zone 1-5. (cockfosters is in zone 5)
Tfsi_Mike:
Buy 2 day passes at the 1st station and you can use them in all the zones on under / over ground and some busses
Was about £6 iirc, but I have a railcard 1/3 off
Matto:
Thanks for the replies. The plan I have will have need 3 tube journeys, Cockfosters to Old Street, Old Street to Covent Garden then Covent Garden back to Cockfosters.
I have contactless and so does wifey but was treating her for her birthday so I had thought about just putting some money in her account to use for travel.
Just checked for a days Travel Card and you're looking at £17.20 each for Zones 1-6 Anytime. How does that compare to paying contactless for each journey?

Easy enough to work out.
