Right, so you're looking at dSLR then.

My recommendation would be the Canon 450D :)
I have one myself.

Have a look at Digital Photography Review

American-based (reflected in the prices) but fantastic for some well-detailed reviews of many cameras, as well as a great search system.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

have a look at a Panasonic dmc lx3 pref in black, is not a slr cam so still a nice size but the quality of pics you get are rather good,
GTI Edition 30 - Reflex Silver now gone but not forgotten - Cooper S JCW now.

I use the older version of that, the 400D and I absolutely love it. The 450D comes with the DIGIC-3 image processing engine. Either this or the equivalent Nikon would be my choice but me <3 Canon (plus my dad's got loads of lenses which I can nick)

Here we are:

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1118.new#new

And Im also going to suggest the 450D or if you want a nice but cheaper camera the FujiFinepix S700 is great too.

Dear Mat,

my lecturer has given me a website which reviews all camera's out on the market, so it might be of some use. I'll find it and have it up tomorrow. :happy2:

Lol I already suggested that site earlier in the thread. It's the one I use whenever I look for a camera.
