Rear washer leak
pudding:
Tried the search but couldn't find anything definitive, but I went to use the rear wash / wipe today and instead of a nice fan of water being blasted onto the rear screen, instead I got some gurgling noises and a little dribble coming out of the washer jet.
Got to work and there was water dripping out the bottom of the tailgate cover inside. Nice.
Before I go full gorilla on it yanking the cover off and probably breaking clips, are there any parts I need to arm myself with first?
Ta!

I've found item 15 fails

if the screen wash hasn't been upto strength to prevent freezing.
pudding:
Thanks mate. Ordered that and a bunch of other bits in the area
flashp:
I have a colleague who had this on an A3 and it was the washer jet which leaked back through the centre of the motor if I correctly recall what he told me at the time. He bought a new motor.
pudding:
Thanks mate. I ordered all of the replaceable bits. Main glass seal, washer jet, the hose, the hose end and a couple of other bits.
I think I know why your friend replaced the motor. The washer jet pushes into a plastic tube that goes through the motor and known to leak. And guess what? That plastic tube is only available as part of the entire assembly, soi I may end up doing the same if these bits don't fix it.
