PCV Valve - which revision?

I was planning on picking up a RevR today: part number 06F129101R, after reading several posts on this forum suggesting this is the latest and recommended upgrade.

Chap at Euro carparts suggested that it won't work with my car and that I need a RevL, as that is the original part?

I have an 04 GTI, I understand it is the AXX engine.

Any pointers and do I need to change anything else when replacing this?

Replaced mine recently, but cant remember the part number letter on the end.

I would just take your reg to TPS or a dealer.

The R version is fine and will work

The version before that, P i think, had a difference check valve setup and required another pipe be replaced with it

N was revised for L and R was revised for N
Get the R

Ps don't bother with Euro, just go VW or TPS and order as per part number
