Xenon headlamps ground

stupid question guys,

where have you grounded the yellow wire from the xenon headlamps?

I dont recall grounding anything when fitting mine

@rich83 thanks that is what i got told but my xenon keeps flickering  :thinking:

Have you done the necessary coding as they will flicker if you haven't. I think the yellow wire you have is for the headlight shutters so you have xenon full beams.

oh right i thought the yellow wire was the ground.

I have had the xenons in for over a year and yes got them coded with vagcome when i bought them. its just the drivers side thats flickering. After changing the ignitor and still the same has led me to think its the ballast

may just have to try replacing the ballast

Yeah the yellow wire is for the shutters as @Trowbridge says, it should run to the cecm by the drivers footwell I think. I don't think that will be causing your light to flicker though as I had mine disconnected for a while and they were fine.
