Had a bit a time on my hands so decided to fit my mk6 climate control which i have recently purchased fitted. Really easy nothing to it just a direct swap in mine with everything working as it should i really like how it displays everything on the screen bringing things a bit more upto date.

That’s pretty awesome that it was straight plug and play. Is the stereo an original VW then too?
I was thinking of replacing the stereo on mine but I weirdly like the fact it’s still got Galaxy 105 and Ridings FM saved!

Love the flippant statement on your previous post that you just “got it resprayed”...! That’s a pretty big deal! Looks awesome though now, assuming you just had it dusted over? Mines a slightly different shade front to back, but I think all reflex silvers are the same tbh.
Getting too old for this...

Hi, sorry for the late reply but things have been hectic having got married on sat 23rd anyway a bit of time to myself. It’s great the mk6 climate is plug and play especially on late mk5’s I think on the early cars you have to change a few things to get everything working. The stereo itself is a Chinese 510 copy and works perfectly having said that most top end stereos are made in China.

As for the respray I guess is was flippant but it did need it both the front wings were mismatch in colour also had the usual around the rear hatch badge along with some small car park dents to the drivers door and the bonnet having a lot of stone chips just thought I’d get it done in one hit. All over respray with bumpers, trim, lights, removed with glass remaining in place,,

@Deano45 does your climate control remember the temperature settings when you get in the car each time? If not it’s a swap of wires 16 and 20. I thought all people doing this swap no matter build date would at least have to do those 2. Maybe after late 2007 this is no longer required.
