GT TDI Vibration/Misfire
« on: July 16, 2020, 08:01:39 pm »
Hi I have a 2007 gt tdi which i didnt pay a lot for. Have had quite a lot of work done on it to get it running smoothly again. I am still having a vibration/misfire issue. The car seems ok for a while then sometimes when accelerating it will vibrate and you can feel it through the steering wheel. It seems like it ispossibly misfiring. The garage seem to think that when they wriggled around the injector loom the engine management light went off and they also said it looked like it had a lot of oil leaked on to it. They said replacing this will hopefully resolve the issue. My question is would this be an easy DIY job and do I need any special tools. I have heard that this is quite a common problem and was just wondering on other peoples thoughts. Cheers
