Grey/Gunmetal Monzas?
« on: March 13, 2010, 06:13:42 pm »
As I have a Steel grey 3 door GTI, I was curious to know if anyone has previously furbed' or sprayed a set of Monza's in a gunmetal grey colour?

I was thinking of doing so to be a bit different as the standard ones are a little too 'silver' imo?

Photoshops welcome and appreciated
Thanks.
Pete

I had my Monza 18's powdercoated Smoked Chrome which sounds a bit bling but really isn't. Solves the potential white worm surface corrosion which many of these wheels suffer from too. The colour isn't exactly gunmetal though but it changes in various lights.

Thanks RR. I had seen and noticed yours, but I was thinking myself of a slightly darker colour, almost anthracite?
Black wheels don't do much for me as such.

I've not even fitted my Monza Shadow reps yet so I'll see how they fare I think  :happy2:

I intend to do exactly the same thing.

I sprayed the wheels on my first car (a 306) a Rover gunmetal colour and intend to use it again if its still available.

I would love to see some pictures of gunmetal/anthracite Monza's though, there dont seem to be too many about.
