44.2 mpg!

80 miles from Durham to Leeds, including going through the 50 mph roadworks

I was above 46 before I turned off the motorway...

That was while doing 70mph on the M11 southbound, then 50-60mph on the A406 eastbound.

Anyone wanna ask me how I did it?
And before anyone says - its not photoshopped etc, its 100% genuine - feel free to closely inspect the photo. I guarantee its genuine - taken with my iPhone after my journey.......

Tell me 'bout it Hedge
Ever since the ITG and the 'zorst I'm getting 20mpg on the work commute  :scared:  used to be 28-30!

I'll have an easy run in tomorrow and try to remember to get a pic, it's a nice mixed route (some A-road, some motorway, some small roads).

I was impressed with a 37mpg run I did, sat at just under 70 on cruise up the A3 and round the M25, but some of these figures are damn impressive (not you IFTI thats cheating ) think this thread would be even better if for people who dont know each others cars intimately, that people included a quick detail on mods, to know if standard etc.

As im thinking about the possability of a remap and much easier to justify to the missus if you can get more from a tank  :happy2:

5Dr Black GTI, DSG, Leather, Xenons. Retrofitted - Cruise, RNS 510, MFSW, Armrest, Skoda BT, 6cd changer, Monza II's, VW speaker upgrade kit, Lux pack, High-line, new CAN gateway, Polar FIS info display, R32 tinted rear lights, RVC

To Come...NQSBBK, highline CCM.
