Any value in scrapping the golf battery?

Normally drop at recycling centre but wondered if there's any value in them in these times  :thinking:

I sold mine on ebay for £8 + postage via UPS as they're the only carrier of car batteries.
It wasn't a dead one though, just not enough ooomph to keep the radio on for an hour or so and then start the car.

Local scrap place gave 36p per kilo..
I took 2 different batteries in but reckon gti battery would have been £6 odd.
