Electric Shaver Issues....
« on: August 12, 2022, 11:53:32 am »
A wierd one this, but I've used  braun shavers for years, with a separate foil and cutter head that you can take apart and get the brush in to clear all of the crud out, but just bought a new Braun shaver, as the parts are no longer available (unless from China?), and it has a stupid Cassette head with cutter and foil all combined, so there's no way that you can get it apart to clean out the grunge, and rinsing under the tap is useless.

Who designs these things like this? Grrrr

So, anyone know of  a brand / model that still uses old technology with separate foil and cutter block, please?? Not a fan of Phillips rotary heads though...

That's a different one for you.... Cheers

Different indeed.

Wahl? I use their hair clippers because as you say, they can be stripped down for cleaning and servicing.  I haven't used a shaver for decades, I just use the clippers

Use compressed air to blow out the "cassette" -probably designed to fail.
