Are the seat electrical connectors the same on 06 and 08 cars

I’ve got an 06 gti and I need to fit front drivers seat that is from an 08 gti.
Are the air bag and heated seat connectors the same size?

Probably not. There was a change from the earlier cars.

Yes I found different connectors between my '06 car and some '07 seats I bought.

How did you get around the problem?

Octoparrot:
I created an adapter by going to the scrappers and getting the opposite connector to go to the seat connector and the opposite connector that goes to the car and joining the wires.
