Could you elaborate which button I'm supposed to hold to illuminate the lights? Would like to give it a shot.
Also I'm pretty sure I did look into the cluster light tests in VCDS, but the cruise control light wasn't available to check. I'll have another look to make I didn't miss it.

Okay I'll have a look there too, thanks for the advice. It's super weird that it fully works but there's no light on the dash for it.

As said, not sure if it possible on your car but on things like Fords and BMW can hold the trip reset button in whilst putting key on and the whole cluster will light up and in some cases sweep the gauges too.
