Well, it’s starting to come together more and more…..starting to see the finish line now like!

Got the front springs mounted and then the shocker assembly added to the hubs. Then got them mounted in the car.











Couldn’t resist getting the front brakes on to see how they fit (and more importantly what I had all the right bits haha) - managed to scratch a bit paint off when trying to get the little pad cover in the front. Not sure if I have the wrong pads but I can’t seem to get it in, the bracket seems to have the slot too far back!

I’m sure it’ll become apparent at some point.

Also, if anyone needs any new Febi Rear arms, AutoDoc sent me two of each for some reason, just give me a shout and I’ll post them over to you!

Managed to get a bit more time on the car today, got a few more bits bolted on.

Could have got most of it bolted up to be honest but the rear wheel bearings that were sent were too big on the internal race, so I’ve had to send them back and get the correct ones!

Finally got round to fitting the dodgy air con pressure switch since I’ve spent the entire summer without cool air after it burst 😂




The started building the rest of the back end up as far as I could - also still need a couple of bolts which are on order






I’ve got a week off coming up so hopefully should have it back on the road and down for an MOT as it ran out while it’s been sat on the drive!

Also, the trusty Skoda Octavia VRS will then be going up for sale so I can finally go back down to two cars on the drive 😂 If anyone fancies a MK1 VRS then give me a shout haha, it’s had loads of work done but the body isn’t the tidiest, not rusty but just a bit unloved







Anyways, should hope fully have the final updates on here in the next couple of weeks!

I’ve just ordered the last of the bolts (I hope 😂) so next week should be the end of the line I think, got a week off so hoping to get it all sorted by then

The finish line is finally in sight!

Picked up the rest of the bolts today so cracked on with getting the rear brakes assembled and the springs fitted along with the lower control arms:











I realised that I’d forgotten to order the rear flexi brake lines  so will nip out to GSF and grab some tomorrow to hopefully get the brake system filled up and bled!

While I’m on with the brakes, does anyone have a clue how this pad retaining spring goes in on the S3 brakes? It looks like the slot in the pad bracket is way too far in and all I’m doing is scratching the sh*t out of the freshly painted calipers 😭



Anyways, once the rest is bolted together then ill be taking it for an MOT as it ran out while I've been doing this, and then straight for an alignment me thinks!

Very slowly, a few higher priority issues have cropped up. Still ordering parts though.

Looking really good now it's  nearly all  back together.
