Decat/Sports Cat MOT fail
« on: January 10, 2024, 06:35:15 pm »
After 3 years of passes my Magnaflow 200cel sports cat has failed emissions test miserably and i'm having trouble finding a friendly mot tester. Do they still exist? Or do people just swap to the standard cat for mot day?

In a bit of a pickle as it's probably £600 for a good cat (BCS etc.) Plus fitting and even then who knows how long it will last.

Any suggestions welcome cheers.

You could try something like cataclean and then retest whilst it's still in the system.

Cataclean won't do anything as that isn't the issue with aftermarket cats.  It's just that they are crap

Due to the mileage I do, 200 cell cats lasted 2 years max, so 3 is pretty good going.
