Headliner Material

Hi, I recently did my headlining, i'll get some pics. The material on the headliner is pretty different to that used on the pillars, I  used the arm rest / door cards as my point of reference. My research indicated that finding a fabric with a foam backing and had some stretch in it was key, doing around the horn of the overhead console is tricky and avoiding creases is quite challenging and without the stretch I'd be inclined to say impossible. I used Martrim to source my material, I grabbed a couple of samples, but for the life of me, can't find the order to confirm which material i ended up with! It's not OEM stuff, but  think it's a good match. https://www.martrim.co.uk/

Well done! What headliner glue did you go for? I'm looking for a roll on glue as I feel the spray glue is messy and leaves gaps.

I used Trim Fix High Temp. It is an aerosol, but was what Martrim recommended. Mess wise, it's fairly controllable, I did use 2 wallpaper pasting tables covered in some old curtains to catch the over spray. Your point about gaps could be valid, by and large it's not been a problem, but the bits where you have to stretch the material i.e. round the horn, in the grab handle resess has come unstuck, I don't think it is through a lack of glue (used 2 cans), more about the strength of the glue, thankfully it doesn't look too bad as it's hidden by the handles and the bit around the horn is the same both sides, the rest of the headliner has gone on really well and held up to the insane temps we've had.
