Help with boost pipe, intercooler bottom left
« on: April 18, 2026, 10:46:53 am »
Hi,
I have what seems to be a common problem with the bottom left boost pipe from the intercooler popping off all the time, I’ve tried a couple self tappers and a file to make new tabs, it fits in tight but for some reason after a few days it pops off. Even when it’s on there does sound like there could be a leak from the drivers side of the car. Are there any tips for this, I’ve read that at this stage the likely cause is the actual intercooler and I’d like to avoid changing that if possible. Has anyone gotten inventive with different ways of holding it in?
Thanks

Whem mine (on my old edition 30)  kept coming off there was a fault with the pipe itself, there's a bump on the pipe metal end which had corroded off so the clip was inoperative, fixed with a new pipe.
