Help identify this coolant hose
« on: September 02, 2026, 11:48:24 am »
Hey all,

Now, please dont have a go at me, this was a bodge repair by a mechanic, i dont know why a replacement was not sourced / fitted.

According to ETKA this is the BWA DSG if this helps also.

Back story -

The right hand and lower engine mount failed on me on the motorway last year. The subsequent result was that the engine rested on the driveshafts and pierced the hose.
Engine had to be removed due to the bolts being sheared off on the right had side, and they needed to be extracted.

I know these probably are not great to help identify and this should have been done last year when i noticed, but the old girl has not been driven too much. Sad to say she is losing water and i know this to be the first place to rectify.

I have just spent 30mins in TPS trying to work out on ETKA what part number it is.

And no, i cant find an easily readable part number on this hose

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you

Turbo coolant return hose, 06J121492C.

You can pick it up from either a k03 or a k04 as they are identical. Make sure you change the crush washers when you bolt the new one back onto the turbo. You can get it from any scrapper if they are willing to sell it. Not worth going new. Make sure you pay attention to how you mount it cause it sits crushed between the engine mount and the timing cover. Probably why it got damaged in the first place.
