Changing from run flats to normal tyres
ollie288:
Excellent cheers guys I think he will be happy with that news!
The only issues I could come up with were;
Different wheel structure (deeper lip to hold tyre on the rim), but apparently the new BMW's use the same wheels.
The suspension is set up for run flats. Would this cause any problems or is it only minor tweaks?
No spare tyre or jack. Apparently foam isn't any good due to the size and weight of the vehicle. Would the only option be buying the full spare with jack etc?
Cheers :happy2:

Is it ok to run standard tyres when they are supposed to run on run flats. I remember reading a lot of talk a while ago about insurance companies voiding insurance due to the fact the cars were not designed to run on standard tyres?

Im going from 225s and 255 to the oversize of 235 and 265 - had these on my last 335 and they are perfect, offer better rim protection, and a far better ride.

What were they? Pilot Sport 3's look OK, not sure they do that size yet though.
