Brembo Brakes Kit

(1/9) > >>

cmdrfire:
Was at JKM the other day, top service by them getting my Bilsteins and WALK fitted  :happy2:
I mentioned about looking into getting the R32 brake upgrade, and Katie (I think) told me about this Brembo kit that JKM are selling:

  I'm seriously thinking of going for them... apparently a 15kg weight saving over the R32 brake setup! And that's all unsprung mass!

Anyone got any experience with their performance? R32 is a tried-and-tested upgrade which brings good stopping power, I imagine these Brembos will be pretty good as well even if they're not quite as big as the .:R setup. In any case, I imagine they'll be superior over stock!

i believe these are the 232mm 4 pot upgrade that the leon guys could have as an optional extra. shamem they never offered this upgrade across the whole range.  i reckon they would be very good indeed.  Think about it like this, DaveB has been sorting a 4 pot brembo kit to go on 312s which from the ealry reports is very good, youwill have brembo 4 pots on bigger 323mm Oem discs so they would be even better.

I've heard mixed reports of the oem Brembo setup, was very tempted to get some for mine a few months back when the Seat dealers were clearing the stocks of these at £599...
Did a little research on the net and seatcupra etc and it seems the oem 323 solid disc is a weak link as it were and also that Seat UK had them on evaluation tests to determine whether they would form part of the UK Cupra standard spec and dropped them due to overheating issues and little to no actual improvement anyway over the oem 345's
