Brembo Brakes Kit

<< < (5/9) > >>

berttie21:
I am running a stage2 pirelli so i needed some more stopping power so bought a new a set of the brembo four pots from a seat kit. They are far superior to the standard gti brakes, they are very progressive possibly 30-40% more stopping power and I have not managed to see much fade, they come with stainless braided lines and the sports fluid, which helps they also have the correct sensor being an oem upgrade. IMO they are lighter than the r32 and have four pots, they were an upgrade from the 350mm's. Should have been the standard ed30/pirelli brake.

@Berttie221 - JKM told me they were around 15kg (!) lighter than the R32 brakes.
Can't wait to get 'em fitted!  :pomppomp:

Janner_Sy:
presuming thats as a total combined weight and not per side??

cmdrfire:
Yep, cumulative. Can't imagine losing 15kg per side!

cmdrfire:
So today I was at JKM for part of the day...

Initial thoughts: They stop the car. They stop the car very well. I didn't go hard on (so to speak) as I'm still bedding them in, but they are indeed a mighty stopping force for the Golf; certainly good enough for my purposes (not a track day fiend with the Golf, not anymore). They do haul in the speed with great aplomb. Dunno 'bout fade, but I imagine they're far superior over the tiny stock items.

I'm very happy with them. Takes a bit of recalibration with my foot, but the pedal is firmer and offers more feel (I think). They haul in the car very well, certainly well enough for my needs, and they look good under the arch. Can't ask for much more!

Big thumbs up from me - definitely worth the money.
