Cleaned wheels, emptied catch can & bay candy :)
Tfsi_Mike:
Emptied the BSH Catch can. On my car (Leon) was an arse to access & I'll be looking at the Forge for fitment and
ease of emptying soon.
Here's what I got out... Started very watery and got gradually thicker and more beige.
Here's what its doing in the connector, not nice
I was quite alarmed at the colour and consistency of what I got out, is this normal???
As for the wheels it was a wash and wax to keep the brake dust at bay...
Also a bit of bay candy (Cheers Robin!) chucked the unsightly blue washer filler cap for a black alloy item :)
(I moved the BSH hose to run under the DV hose after btw ;) )
Well there's 60 seconds of your life you'll never get back :P Thanks for looking

Usually Castrol Edge 5/30 but this time I forgot to supply my own / request it at the last service with AwesomeGti (about 5k miles ago)
Does it look wrong?
Saint Steve:
changed my pcv recently, and had very little signs or major oil flow or signs of it inside the old blown pcv. Just Carbon diposits.

i ve got a mate who works for castrol , he told me only to use edge 5/30 for vw /audi fsi engines and the sh*t build up should be reduced to almost none , ive used it in my last 3 cars but never fitted a catch can to see if the oil works :happy2:
