Centre panel removal - How please?....

(1/5) > >>

RedRobin:

^ The section you see which is carbon vinyl wrapped - How to remove that panel section, please?

The pic is Saint Steve's car and I know he said it's easy but I still need to know exactly how. All my alu trims and Recaro backs are carbon vinyl wrapped, so I think it will complete my interior trim [until I fit a half-cage!].

Thx for any help - Always appreciated  :drinking:

vRS Carl:
You will need a Trim Tool Robin to get it out.

They sell them in Halfords for about £10 or you can get them off flea bay.

All you do then is insert the tool in between the trim and the dash and gently pry it out all round.

Thanks, Carl - Any particular type/shape of tool? Or is it a set?

Sparky Craig:
Robin,

The part which is wrapped has TWO screws at the top just behind the Air vents... The rest of it is just clipped in which you can pull off with the right tool...

You`ll have to do the same thing here as if you were taking the RNS510 out just to get the top two screws out...

I`ll find a pic and upload it to show you.

This the one Halfords Sell

Some people dont like ti because it is metal. As long as your careful you wont cause any damage (i never have in the 18 months or so that i have had it)

Or you can get ones like this on Ebay
