Turbo Whistle... Possible Fault??

Its the diverter valve, basically does what a dump valve does, releases boost preesure on closed throttle

My s3 whistles in fifth gear only at a specific rpm.  Is this that noise?

Pullafacial:
Don't think so shamrock. All seems fine driving at constant speed.
Problem is when I floor it, it picks up strong for a split second then the turbo whistle turns in to a noise like escaping air and power is immediatley down.

Anyone know if I can pop the dv out without getting the car on ramps?

not on a regular GTI, you really need it on axle stands at least as its bolted directly to the turbo

Just booked it in for next week at the garage I bought it from to have a look and investigate a wheel bearing noise as well.

Also, just booked getting my seriously scuffed 18" Monzas in for a "black" makeover aswell.
Can't wait to see the results.
