Turbo Whistle... Possible Fault??
Pullafacial:
Quick update - Took the car in first thing this morning to get sorted.
Just recieved a call to ask if they could keep the car over night as proving a bit more in depth.
Hopefully will know the outcome tommorow!

Well, got the car back today and have a feeling this is gonna take take some sorting!
The garage found a slightly loose pipe which they thought had fixed it but still the same. It just feels really flat and sounds like pressure is leaking before the foot comes of the throttle. garage have said to bring it back and they'll have another look trouble is they're 20 miles away and only open when i'm at work.
They have also established that the wheel bearing noise is infact tyres. they've changed them onto the front but i'm trying to get them to sort it as it drives me mad!
Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be? After much reading on here i'd convinced myself it's the DV.
SteveP:
Some simple vcds logging will confirm if it's a boost leak, and then Replacing the DV is a sensible next step if all the hoses have been checked.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but a colleague (with a stock Edition 30) is having a whistling noise but only on tickover, and not from cold. The whistle goes away on boost and not apparent on cold starts. Any thoughts? Suspect the DV is not to blame in this case due to when the whistling is occurring. :surprised:
