What to apply to rear badge?

My rear badge has got white worm so its time to replace it. When i get the new one should i apply anything to it to try and prevent any further corrosion?

As above mate. Wont happen with new badge. I replaced my old one as it suffered from the dreaded white worm.
Fairly easy job to do, worse part was removing the wiper arm! some people say you dont have to totaly remove the wiper motor, just losen it and turn it to get to one of the screws thats holding the boot badge/handle in place.

Mine has got the White worm what do you mean by 2 piece.....apart from it being in two pieces  :signLOL:

How much do they cost...... could I fit it?
