What to apply to rear badge?

stealthwolf:
I believe on the earlier models the VW badge was all one piece ie the black base and the silver bit are all one piece. On later models, you can separate the silver VW bit from the black base. This silver bit can then be wrapped or painted a different colour.

So although separable in two pieces can't the silver piece still get white worm?

Even the Monza wheel centre caps can get white worm! :fighting:

Sorry Wolf......what is wrapped

stealthwolf:
As usual, I'm talkin about things I don't have a clue about. Just something I remember.

I'm sure about ten other people know the proper answer.

I think I'd better head back indoors. The sun's getting to me a bit.

stealthwolf:
Punch have a look at a few of the members rides. The VW bit can be wrapped in carbon fibre or it can be painted to give it a different look.  The VW emblem can be separated. This is what is meant by two piece and I believe doesn't suffer from white worm.
