The ultimate Dyno Graph thread
PDT:
Do you notice the spike whilst driving?
heavyd:
The dsg boxes seem to cause a lot of headaches :popcornsoda:
Hopefully I'll have a dyno plot of the stage 1 map next week to put up on here, I have the dsg software, so will see if I get the spike on mine :happy2:

The manual version on 100% identical map doesn't do that, it's a smooth torque curve. We did a DSG remap on that car in order to solve it but unfortunately the customer didn't have time to wait for us to re-run the car. He is coming back for other work though, so we will have the opportunity to dyno it.

@ Shark_90 thats interesting, although slight issue being that I dont have DSG, lol! any other thoughts?
@ PDT: Its not THAT noticeable, If I look for it its easy to find however, feels kinda like hesitation for a split sec then the spike before it continues nicely throughout the range,

Haha! Ok, in that case I don't have any thoughts off the top of my head, I've never seen a manual do that apart from one that had a persistent misfire which was down to a weak coil pack. That doesn't look like a misfire to me but the resolution of the graph isn't really high enough to spot that.

Why would the DSG box cause a big torque spike?
