Keep the Bluefin or go for Revo?
Mandy:
I currently have the Bluefin handset (kept from my previous golf) and am thinking of a stage 1 remap on the eddy at some point, probably when the warranty expires (or sooner if I get the urge!).
It's a toss up between Bluefin and Revo at the moment, I've had the Bluefin before so want to try Revo.
Am I right in saying you get slightly more out of the Revo, I know people say it's more torquier and aggressive but I think that's how I like it.
What is the idea with the SPS switch, does it allow you to 'adjust' the map?
I also like the fact that Revo is more 'custom' to the individual car, where as Bluefin isn't really.
Has anyone had experience of both maps on an ed30 and any views on them?
Should I just pay £200 to reset the Bluefin, or is it worth spending the extra money for the Revo?? Any thoughts??
Hedge:
Both have their pro's and cons but as you have the Bluefin handset I would say use it.
If it is less than 12 months then I believe they reset for free but either way you will get a bargain. :happy2:

If they'd reset it for free then it would def have to be the Bluefin, but unfortunately I've had it a while. :sad1:
Thanks for your view Hedge, it's the same as what Saint Steve keeps telling me, just always thought he was being biased though!
RedRobin:
.
There are quite a few peeps here who have moved from Bluefin to Revo and report being particularly pleased with the difference.
If you are planning future hardware mods, the Revo allows a far more reliable method of fine-tuning the settings.
You might like to phone JKM - 0239 263 9933 - and ask Keith his private opinion as they sell both. I don't know which he'd recommend but he knows his onions.

if your hand set is under 12 months old you have the option to reset it for free and then sell it
i sold my bluefin handset to saint steve as had a similar dilema in the end sold it and went revo on the pirelli
pros and cons to both though, both proven products
