What are the differences between RNS 510 versions A, B, C.

(1/3) > >>

Mandy:
Can someone briefly explain the differences between A, B and C versions of the RNS 510.

Do they have different functions or something?

How do I know which version I have?

Hedge:
To find the version you either need someone with VCDS or to access the hidden menu.

Once again depending on which firmware version you have that changes. Sometimes it can be accessed by pressing and holding setup as the unit starts up for the first time.

On the later ones the hidden menu needs enabling via VCDS.

It's never easy.

Gtiain:
I'm might be wrong but I'm sure a and b are pretty similar. Version c is the newest and has an led display, this means  the screen pops up faster and is alot clearer amongst other things.

I think one way to tell is to find out which button you have in the top right far corner. Each of the units has a different button here.

Thanks Ian.

I might try the 'secret menu' trick and see if anything happens... hopefully don't fubar the unit!

What are the possible different buttons?

Thank you for your replies  :happy2:
