What are the differences between RNS 510 versions A, B, C.
Mandy:
Ok, so I tried turning the unit off, turn it back on and hold 'Setup'. No hidden menu came up though...
The button I have in the top far right corner of the unit is a pic of a speaker with an 'i' next to it. When I press it, it says 'the (something) for this is unavailable.'
Does this help to determine what version I have? :chicken:
Norbreck21a:
Sounds like a "B" unit Mandy - like this ?

Yes! It looks just like that, thanks. :happy2:
I guess I have the B version then. So what is significant about the B version, if anything?
Norbreck21a:
I'll bow to people with better knowledge, (Darren, SteveP and Stu) but to the best of my knowlege, a "B" unit running the latest firmware should give exactly the same functionality as a later "C" unit. Indeed, a "B" unit upgraded actually reports itself as a "C" unit.
The only proviso, is that 2010 "C" units are starting to come with LED screens (rather than the previous LCD technology). I understand from Darren and the likes, the screen is a little sharper and brighter, and these can ONLY come on a "C" unit.
Mandy:
Ok, thanks for your help. :happy2:
