hi can anybody tale me how to remove mirror covers is it a stright foword job or a pain in the a=rse

its really simple, did this on my mk5 R32 when i had it,

get a flat head screwdriver, wrap the end of it with a towel or rag and then start to pry it off starting at the base plate area once that has opened up a lil you can use your fingers to go round the case and lift it off.....it's only held on with plastic clips  :happy2:

Easy peasy job......   :surprised: Stealthy you had trouble, it really is 3/4 screws to remove the lower indicator lense housing, and pop the glass lense off, then unplugging 2 wires.

Then it lifts off. :happy2:

Everything was easy - except lifting the housing off. There are two tabs and one I could unclip but the other I had to break off so I could lift off the housing.
