Looks good Alex, and just to confirm, the S3 cams being the same as Cupra and ED30 cams  :happy2:

I believe the part numbers are slightly different which leads me to think they are different profiles.  Something I need to check really.  What is the engine code of your Cupra engine Jake?

Mine's a BWJ Alex, and i have some info from Golfmkv.com somewhere stating that according to ETKA they are the same for all three engine codes.  :happy2:

Over the top mod list ;o)

Managed to get a few bits done on Saturday.

Full SuperPro rear bush kit, SuperPro front consoles with bushes and TT driveshafts.  Some pics:

The TT driveshafts are 15mm longer each side than the stock shafts.  The longer TT shaft doesnt seem to be cut and welded like the stock shaft either so should be stronger.

Managed to go and do my alignment earlier today and I need some bucket seats and harnesses now.  Its fantastic.  Considerably more grip than before and even sharper turn in too.

Running -3 degs at the front now with the new top mounts.

After seeing the XB braces ive ordered some T-45 so I can make my own version.  :drinking:

Looking Good Alex, how do you find the difference between stock and uprated bushes?
I'm not convinced yet, so you might tip me over

....Everyone i have spoken to says that changing bushes makes a positive difference. Isn't it a long and therefore expensive job?

I guess at over 100,000 miles my OEM bushes will need doing at some point.

The back end feels alot more positive and stable and the part I wasnt really expecting, its much smoother over bumps.

Its not the fastest job in the world at around 4-6 hours from start to finish depending on if its a full kit or just the rears plus then an alignment.  I used this opportunity to make some tools to allow the job to run smoothly and efficiently.

Camber and toe adjustment is alot easier with bolts that arnt seized into the bushes and more accurate now too.

Im too skint to buy an XB and I fancy making something more roll cage style.  I would however like to have a look at the XB in your car Robin.  Email will be on its way to you tomorrow hopefully.

Why did you change to the TT driveshafts?

Why did you change to the TT driveshafts?

Im running the TT hubs, wishbones, steering arms and rack which gives a wider track and could possibly cause more strain on the original cv joints.  I had the shafts kicking about for a while not thinking they were any longer until I finally got around to checking with the measuring stick.

Just need to find some for Jake now

I really cant tell if the rack is quicker, but it feels loads different to the stock one.  It seems like it weights itself differently depending on speed and firms up nicely at speed.

Is the one you have for fwd?

They probably would after spending the money on them and getting them fitted.
