Fitting a VW 9W7 Bluetooth Kit

<< < (2/3) > >>

Norbreck21a:
Thanks guys. Just starting to wonder now if the bloody thing will work. I've read on german forums that they can order from the factory with the 9w7 module, but unlike us, they also get a high line dash. In this country, it isn't even an option yet, so whilst the unit will physically fit, and will probably show up on the RCD-510, I'm now wondering as I won't be able to access the "Phone" menu in the MFD, if I'll be able to properly set it up and pair with a phone.

Only time will tell I suppose?

Good job the Rocco has it all in fro the factory  (wouldn't want to do this twice!)

It will only show on the RCD510 Andrew if the car does'nt have highline display  :sad1:

vRStu:
I think you'll find it'll work on an RCD510 with/without the Highline.

Im not running the same BT kit Andy, I have 729B but I just use it with RNS510 and midline controller, everything works as you would expect, dependant on phone (which I have found varies) I have phone book access last dialled missed number list, 6 short-cut speed dial icons and full number pad support.

It will work fine just by using the RCD510 as the interface.
